Remorse To Blame Erdagon

Today Turkish president Erdogan, has been accused of declaring women and men are not equal. He has declared status of women and men are not equal, because this is against human nature, the two sexes are biologically different. The devoutly Turkish president said biological differences meant women and men could not serve the same functions, adding that manual work was unsuitable for the “delicate nature” of women. He further stated that Instead of equality, he recommended what he called “equivalency”.

He smashed at feminist who, according to him “don't accept the concept of motherhood”. Also he claimed motherhood to be prime role of women, reciting a hadith from holy Quran “heaven lies at our mother’s feet”.

“This is one of the most convincing things about Islam - the treatment of women in general and especially the high position mothers hold in Islam. Islam commands kindness, respect and obedience to parents and specifically emphasizes and gives preference to the mother. Qur'an emphasizes the great struggles the mother goes through for her child, to highlight the need for one to reciprocate their parents sacrifice for them”.

“A man once consulted the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) about taking part in a military campaign. The Prophet asked the man if his mother was still living. When told that she was alive, the Prophet said: “(Then) stay with her, for Paradise / the Garden is at her feet.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

“I do accept his statement as he believes in Motherhood”.
He further explained “Motherhood is something else”, claiming that it should be a woman’s priority because Islam exalts women as mothers. He went on to say that women and men could not be treated equally “because it goes against the laws of nature”.

Though it is universally accepted, role of women is important to raise and generate new generations. It is also accepted women is 1st asylum for her children. We must also accept it women is 1st guide for her children.

He insisted every women should have three children and proposing to limit abortion rights, access to the morning-after pill and caesarean sections.

He recalled: “I would kiss my mother’s feet because they smelled of paradise. She would glance coyly and cry sometimes.

Erdagon has explained women as mother, although he forgot to explain women as daughter, wife etc.

It will be blasphemous to say , women’s are slaves and men’s are their rulers. Though Turkish president does not mean to demoralise the moral values of women. If we consider men as ruler then we have to consider women as realm of it. We cannot blame Erdogan for his poignant words towards women, as he only mean to define women as mother. It will be absurdly to blame him.

He explain physiques of women, their characters, habits are different … You cannot place a mother breastfeeding her baby on an equal footing with men.“You cannot make women work in the same jobs as men do, as in communist regimes. You cannot give them a shovel and tell them to do their work. This is against their delicate nature.”

He complained that in previous decades, women in Anatolian villages had done the back-breaking work while their menfolk idled away the time.

“Wasn’t it the case in Anatolia? Our poor mothers suffered immensely and got hunchbacks while the men were playing cards and rolling dice at teahouses,” he said.

Actually it is not by nature which makes women’s different from men. Both of them are important as we can say one will not work until another will not support. . Yes admittedly, their biological functions do vary, they may be different in anatomy but not unequal in worth and dignity. It is also mentioned in the Holy Quran that men and women are created from the same Nafs. Although we all are created from same thing, just a single biological difference will not create inequality between the two sexes.

He further stated that “What women need is to be able to be equivalent, rather than equal. Because equality turns the victim into an oppressor and vice versa.”

By this he means to say we can say women is not equal but is equivalent ,as women cannot work like men, “You cannot make women work in the same jobs as men do”

In short Erdagon has stated all this from “Mothers point of view”. one has to cede it.
