Remorse To Blame Erdagon

Today Turkish president Erdogan, has been accused of declaring women and men are not equal. He has declared status of women and men are not equal, because this is against human nature, the two sexes are biologically different. The devoutly Turkish president said biological differences meant women and men could not serve the same functions, adding that manual work was unsuitable for the “delicate nature” of women. He further stated that Instead of equality, he recommended what he called “equivalency”.

He smashed at feminist who, according to him “don't accept the concept of motherhood”. Also he claimed motherhood to be prime role of women, reciting a hadith from holy Quran “heaven lies at our mother’s feet”.

“This is one of the most convincing things about Islam - the treatment of women in general and especially the high position mothers hold in Islam. Islam commands kindness, respect and obedience to parents and specifically emphasizes and gives preference to the mother. Qur'an emphasizes the great struggles the mother goes through for her child, to highlight the need for one to reciprocate their parents sacrifice for them”.

“A man once consulted the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) about taking part in a military campaign. The Prophet asked the man if his mother was still living. When told that she was alive, the Prophet said: “(Then) stay with her, for Paradise / the Garden is at her feet.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

“I do accept his statement as he believes in Motherhood”.
He further explained “Motherhood is something else”, claiming that it should be a woman’s priority because Islam exalts women as mothers. He went on to say that women and men could not be treated equally “because it goes against the laws of nature”.

Though it is universally accepted, role of women is important to raise and generate new generations. It is also accepted women is 1st asylum for her children. We must also accept it women is 1st guide for her children.

He insisted every women should have three children and proposing to limit abortion rights, access to the morning-after pill and caesarean sections.

He recalled: “I would kiss my mother’s feet because they smelled of paradise. She would glance coyly and cry sometimes.

Erdagon has explained women as mother, although he forgot to explain women as daughter, wife etc.

It will be blasphemous to say , women’s are slaves and men’s are their rulers. Though Turkish president does not mean to demoralise the moral values of women. If we consider men as ruler then we have to consider women as realm of it. We cannot blame Erdogan for his poignant words towards women, as he only mean to define women as mother. It will be absurdly to blame him.

He explain physiques of women, their characters, habits are different … You cannot place a mother breastfeeding her baby on an equal footing with men.“You cannot make women work in the same jobs as men do, as in communist regimes. You cannot give them a shovel and tell them to do their work. This is against their delicate nature.”

He complained that in previous decades, women in Anatolian villages had done the back-breaking work while their menfolk idled away the time.

“Wasn’t it the case in Anatolia? Our poor mothers suffered immensely and got hunchbacks while the men were playing cards and rolling dice at teahouses,” he said.

Actually it is not by nature which makes women’s different from men. Both of them are important as we can say one will not work until another will not support. . Yes admittedly, their biological functions do vary, they may be different in anatomy but not unequal in worth and dignity. It is also mentioned in the Holy Quran that men and women are created from the same Nafs. Although we all are created from same thing, just a single biological difference will not create inequality between the two sexes.

He further stated that “What women need is to be able to be equivalent, rather than equal. Because equality turns the victim into an oppressor and vice versa.”

By this he means to say we can say women is not equal but is equivalent ,as women cannot work like men, “You cannot make women work in the same jobs as men do”

In short Erdagon has stated all this from “Mothers point of view”. one has to cede it.

An Irani Girl: Victim Of Injustice

An Irani Girl: Victim Of Injustice

Reyhaneh Jabbari, an Muslim Irani girl, was arrested in 2007 for the murder of Morteza Aabdolali Sarbandi, a former employee of Iran’s ministry of intelligence. While the whole world talks about empowering women, the world is ignorant of the fact of another young Muslim women fighting for her life in Iran.

Her crime was stabbing a man to death, a man who tried to rape her.

In 2008 Reyhaneh an interior decorator went to a coffee shop, sat and started talking on phone in relation to her job. After finishing the conversation on the phone, two men approached her. One of them introduced himself as a former employee of Iran’s Ministry of defence, namely Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi and asked her to decorate their office. As an interior designer and need for the job, Reyhaneh agreed to their proposal for the decoration and they took her number.

Few days passed Sarbandi’s friend believed to be the second man who had approached her at the coffee shop, called her on the phone, with regard to the decoration. On getting to the building, they went up to the fourth floor, they opened the door. She was welcomed by Sarbandi in a dusty and empty apartment. Reyhaneh left the door unclosed, but Sarbandi ordered to close the door and she should take off her scarf. She refused and Sarbandi approached her romantically. Reyhaneh tried departing, but was stopped by Sarbandi. Sarbandi got angry and came menacingly towards her. Reyhaneh resisted his advances as much as she could, but Sarbandi got hostile. Sensing immediately danger Reyhaneh managed to lay hands on knife which she used to defend herself. But as Sarbandi’s attack got much stronger, so did Reyhaneh’s, which is when she stabbed him.

The second man rushed into the apartment and suddenly engaged in fight with Sarbandi. The fight between the two men was to pave the way for Reyhaneh’s escape. She managed to escape and reached home. However, her ordeal was not over yet. The police was able to trace her and arrested her at about 2:00 clock and charged with murder.

For six long years, the Iranian court has failed to notice the fact that she faced the imminent threat of rape. In their evidence, it was shown a plastic bag which was found in Sarbandi’s possession containing condoms and a drinking laced with sedatives for his victim. Yet the court overlooked the fact and Reyhaneh was charged with murder and was sentenced to death in 2009. She had no witness and she must be executed for murder. Reyhaneh may be forcibly put to a wrongful death anytime for a fault that was far from her. Her execution verdict was upheld by Iran’s Supreme Court.
Her case drew international cry and sparked a petition urging her release, which has granted over 190,000 signatures.

I am surprised, despite the evidences prove Reyhaneh innocent, then for what she will be executed.
Reyhaneh’s story slaps international community who praises women empowerment around the globe. Reyhaneh’s story is the story of those brave Muslim girls who have been labelled as murderers or who face charges of adultery for defending themselves.

Iran is an Islamic country, how they could reject the plea of Reyhaneh and order for her execution. Not only in Iran, but also in our Pakistan and Kashmir these cases are common. My question to whole Muslim community , when they will wake up from their deep sleep and save innocent women’s like Reyhaneh and Dr. Aafia.

"If today, we will not raise our voice for Reyhaneh and Aafia then the day is not far, when Allah s.w.t will shower stones on us".

A small note by Reyhaneh to her mother:-

"Goodbye, dear Mum. All of my pains will finish early tomorrow morning. I'm sorry I cannot lessen your pain. Be patient. We believe in life after death. I'll see you in the next world and I will never leave you again because being separated from you is the most difficult thing to do in the world."
